:: my recipe for beautiful, translucent skin ::

The weather is so hot and humid these days. Without we may realized, humidity caused our skin to dehydrate and prone to breakouts. I decided to save my skin before it is too late so one of my agenda during weekend is pampering my face with a mask.

The latest mask that I have worn is KOSE Sekkisei Lotion Mask. It is the most powerful mask I have experienced as it gives instant lift to the skin.

The Evidence.

I did not use any kind of filter and the picture was taken under the same lighting. Before, my forehead and cheeks were a bit rough but after being Sekkisei-ed both areas turned out to be silky smooth and radiant. To me, a product can be categorized as really good if the effect is continuous until next days and KOSE Sekkisei Lotion Mask is no doubt in that ‘really good’ category.

My skin maintains its smoothness; hence powder glides easier than before. Not only that, Sekkisei Lotion Mask also gives whitening effect to the skin. Even my husband compliments the result.

The one that I am using already came in the form of mask so I just took it out of the package and placed it on my face for 5 to 10 minutes before sleep – no rinsing is required!

For the bottled lotion, the 5-steps guide is below:

1)      Pour SEKKISEI Lotion into cap until it reaches the line

2)      Put mask into the cap

3)      Allow mask to absorb lotion till it puffs up

4)      Unfold the mask and place onto clean face for 5-10mins

5)      Remove mask, tap the excess into the skin until it is absorbed – no rinsing is necessary

KOSE Sekkisei Lotion Mask is based on a “beautiful translucent skin recipe” compounded with three main oriental plants extracts such as:

·         Coix Seed Extract – able to increase metabolism, whitening, moisturization and prevention of skin roughness

·         Angelica Extract – contains disinfectant, whitening and moisturizing effects

·         Melothria (white lotus) Extract – suppress melanin production which gives whitening effects to the skin

If you noticed, the three key ingredients produce whitening effect and indeed, KOSE Sekkisei Lotion Mask is the best whitening product available on the market today!

As what I have experienced, it also enables to balance out skin’s moisture level, prevent dullness, roughness, as well as redness caused by sunburn from the sunlight. More reasons for me to love the mask are the lightness of its texture, ability to blend instantly into the skin within minutes and the refreshing after-effect. To summarize, there are nine (9) benefits altogether such as translucency, penetration, moisturizing, zero pores, whitening, smoothing, firming, relaxing and evenness.

The Sekkisei Lotion can be purchased at every KOSE counters nationwide in bottles of 200ml (RM170) and 360ml (RM260). It is not necessarily used on face but also on neck or any part of the body.

Visit these links to learn more about KOSE and Sekkisei Lotion:

Not only that, they are also currently running a contest –and who knows you might be crowned as the KOSE Sekkisei Cinderella Malaysia!

*******

Last but not least, KOSE is generously giving away the Sekkisei Lotion Mask to 24 of my blog readers. Just answer the two (2) questions below together with your email address at the comment area.

1. What are the three (3) main ingredients used in KOSE Sekkisei Lotion Mask?

2. Name one (1) out of the 9 benefits of the KOSE Sekkisei Lotion Mask.

Hurry! Contest ends on 27 April 2014.

:: family vacation 2013 part 3 ::

>> PART 1 <<

>> PART 2 <<

Fuhhh... I have finally come to the last part of our family vacation story and here goes...

On Friday, 29.03.2013 we arrived back in Hong Kong from Shenzhen and checked in at the first hotel we stayed, the Newton Place Hotel. When we went to Shenzhen we did not bring the entire luggage because the hotel offered luggage storage service for only HKD10 per bag so we retrieved back our bags and had our lunch. During the vacation we actually brought together a mini rice cooker, a multipurpose kettle, instant noodles and a lot of Brahim's packed dishes so MIL cooked rice and we all ate in the hotel room. After Zohor prayer we went out to explore the city for the last time so we decided to go to Victoria Peak. From the nearest MTR station, Ngau Tau Kok we had to change the train route once and stopped at Central Station. From there we had to walk up the hill (around 10-15 minutes walking distance) to the Peak Tram Station but surprised to see such a very long queue. The Peak tram is somehow similar to the hill train at Bukit Bendera, Pulau Pinang but due to time constraint and long waiting we decided to go up the hill by cab. Despite the experience, it is more cost saving to travel by cab because the fee was around HKD50 per cab whereas a single journey adult ticket by the tram cost HKD28 each and best of all, we managed to reach the top faster and skipped the extremely long queue.

On top of the Victoria Peak there were two buildings located in opposite of each other. One is The Peak Galleria, which is a shopping mall and another is the Peak Tower. In the Peak Tower visitors could view the entire Hong Kong from its sky terrace but we went there because we wanted to go to the Madame Tussauds. An adult entrance ticket is HKD190 but you could buy it in advance from their website and get 10% discount (HKD171). Since we came in a big group we asked for group special price and luckily we got the 10% discount too. Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is very small if compared to the one in London. It was my second visit there so I happily offered to be the photographer and let hubby posed with the 'celebrities'. I only posed mostly with those who are still unavailable during my previous visit such as Robert Pattinson (who doesn't look much like him), Kate and William, Donnie Yen the IP Man and my favourite Lady Gaga. Ady was asleep when we entered the gallery but he was so cheerful after he woke up. Normally he does not like to take photo but that day he was smiling when he peeped through to become the face of a sumo guy.

Hubby with Karen Mok, Andy Lau and Aaron Kwok

Bottom left is myself with Robert Pattinson. Errr I think I prefer Edward Cullen. LOL.

...and here are more photos of us with the 'celebrities'...

After spending few hours on The Peak we went straight to the shopping area in Tsim Sha Tsui which cost us more than HKD100 per cab due to heavy traffic. Tsim Sha Tsui is shoppers' paradise for international brands like Chanel, LV, Longchamp, Burberry, Gucci... just name it all and it is there. For your info branded goods in Hong Kong are duty free so they are said to be cheaper than Malaysia even after currency conversion. I could not do any direct comparison because I did not do any research before the vacation. I bought a handbag though but I have not time to visit the boutique here yet so I am not sure how much the difference is. During my first visit to Hong Kong I did buy a Coach handbag (I never have enough handbag LOL) and it was around RM300 cheaper than Malaysia so I supposed it shoud be cheaper also this time.

It was already late in the evening but we still insisted to do a very last minute shopping before saying goodbye so we took MRT and went back to the first place we visited earlier, the Ladies Market. It was nearly 11 pm when finally returned to the hotel. I slept around 3 something in the morning packing our luggage because there were a lot of new things and these are among the stuff we bought during our 6 days vacation in Hong Kong and Shenzhen...

Truly a shopper's paradise! ;-)

We arrived Malaysia in the evening of Saturday, 30.03.2013. It was a great, memorable family vacation and I will be glad to visit Hong Kong and Shenzhen again in the future.

:: my must-have from coach's legacy holiday 2012 ::

I literally screamed with excitement when I read about BagAddictsAnnonymous giveaway as she is collaborating with Coach in giving away items from the latest Coach Legacy Holiday 2012 collection. Coach has always been one of my favourite brand and one thing I love about their latest Legacy holiday collection is the solid, vivid colours that can effortlessly enhance any outfit.

Although spoilt with choices, the must-have item for me would be the Legacy Penny Shoulder Purse and since most of my handbags are plain coloured, the colourblock plaid penny in the middle will definitely become a statement piece.

I might be a bit greedy here but I just could not resist this Legacy Colourblock Large Leather Clutch too which is spacious enough to hold the daily essentials during a short outing or a trip to mamak. It is impossible to say no for such pretty colour combo and cute mini tassels. Major love!

For your info, BagAddictsAnonymous is giving away not only one but two (2) Coach Legacy Leather Medium Skinny worth RM300 each and I believed this post has qualified me to be in the running of winning one (wish me luck!). Another way to win the other one is via Facebook so if you are interested to participate, check out this post from the BagAddictsAnonymous blog for more details.

More items from the Legacy Collection can be viewed at the nearest Coach outlet around you or visit Coach's official website to feast your eyes on the entire collection and sign up for the newsletter to receive free mystery gift that can be redeemed from any of the outlet.

:: my best memories with tm ::

At first, I felt impossible to write about my best memories with TM because my mind automatically associated TM with the Internet as they are the main internet provider in this country through Streamyx and Unifi. I could not think of any significant memory I had while using the internet so I thought a bit further. Due to technology and media advancement these days many people including myself might have forgotten about the existence of fixed line phone. Back in the days fixed home line was a necessity and the sole service provider in Malaysia was no other than TM or previously known as Jabatan Telekom then Telekom Malaysia.

Fixed home line has sentimental value in my life because it reminds me of my childhood. It was 1991 and I was in standard 4 Raya when I knew my best friend, Riza Azwani. We first met when we were playing jumping over string of rubber bands, which was a hit among girls that time. We became classmates, sat in the same group and we just clicked. Apparently we had a lot in common from having the same hobbies (which is collecting stamps), being the only child, fans of 4U2C and many more. We spent most of the time at school together whether in the class or in the canteen or anywhere else and we talked a lot to each other. Honestly, we were very talkative and we did not stop at school. Riza stayed at her aunt's after school until her parents fetched her after work while I went straight home by school bus.

We used to have this phone model at home

I do not know how we did it because after spending the entire day at school together we could still talked to each other through phone calls. We usually made agreement before either one of us left by saying "nanti aku call / nanti ko call tau" (I'll call later / call me later) and our activity begun after we had lunch. Not only weekdays, our storytelling activity also happened during weekends too. We were not worried about the bills because (#01) we did not pay them and (#02) we stayed in the same state so our calls were listed under local calls with cheaper rate because they were charged according to units (#03) phone numbers were not listed in local calls unlike national calls so we were safe! Yet still, our parents did warn us if we made most of the call outs so we had this lil tactic. To show that we are receiving call instead of making call out, one of us will call and said "call aku nanti aku call ko balik" (call me and I'll call you back) when the 'coast is clear'. Intead of hanging up the handset, the first caller had to hold the black button on the telephone and wait for the phone to ring for several times to alert everyone about a coming call. The receiver then released the black button, said hello, end the call by pushing the black button again and call back. Phones were ringing at both sides so both of us were safe from getting scold. Clever or not? :-D Not sure whether you could understand the entire process but that is one of our best kept secret for 20 long years.

Riza was my maid of honor and I was hers. We have planned that since school.

There was this time when we heard a third party voice while we were chatting. It was a crossed line and the pakcik was saying hello. I somehow answered him and acted like I knew him while Riza stood silence at the other end. I acted like a grown up but obviously the pakcik noticed I was playing around so he got really mad and scolded me, and I immediately hanged up the phone. That was a silly one but I have many other sweet, bad and even weird experiences associated with fixed home line because I was an avid phone user since primary school until univ years. By the way, Riza and I have been friends for 21 years this 2012. We may not talk to each other as often as before but we do keep in touch once in a while. May our friendship last forever and thank you to TM for connecting us.

You may have better experience with TM and its products but as for me, reminiscing my chidhood by associating it with fixed home line is my best memories with TM

:: and the winner is ::

Last night the entire nation roared with cheers after Malaysian football squad beat Indonesia with penalty kicks in the opponent's ground at the 26th SEA Games. It was a glorious moment for all Malaysians and people are still talking about it today. I have to admit that our players are still lack of skills but what matter the most is the final score and the gold medal that the players brought home. Congratulations Harimau Malaya!

On another note and in jive with the winning spirit, I hereby announce the winner of my 11.11.11 giveaway. It's a tough call. I feel like giving everybody a prize each for their participation but I only have one prezzie to be given away so I really have to choose one winner...

...and the winner is...

*drum rolls*

:: 11.11.11 giveaway ::

11.11.11 - The most anticipated date has arrived. Many people got excited with such beautiful number and it is the most popular subject of the day. Radio DJs made it a topic for listeners, friends wrote it as Facebook's status, tweets and not forgetting those who made today a special occassion by getting married. Last year the most sought after date was 10.10.10. It was the date I chose to start blogging using Blogspot from phatgurl.blogdrive.com after 7 loyal years with Blogdrive.

From 10.10.10 to 11.11.11, alhamdulillah this blog is still 'alive' with your continuous support as the reader. This calls for celebration and in conjunction with this special date I would like to do a giveaway. It is just for fun and what I can offer you as a gift is this:

Silkygirl Glitzy Chic set which contains a set of duo eyeshadow, a blusher, a lipgloss and a glitter eyeliner. I know it is not a high end brand but consider it as an emergency kit, perhaps for an impromptu date or last minute touch up?

Winning is so easy because the only thing that you have to do is leave a comment at this post that starts with the word 'I like ...' or you could even write in BM and starts with 'Saya suka ...'.

Just write about anything and one catchy comment will be chosen as the winner.

Contest ends on another beautiful date in this year: 20.11.2011.

Good Luck!

:: yeayyy menang! ::

The above was my FB status 6 days ago, sharing about the ChurpChurp MAD Deal of the Day. Noticed my p/s message? Honestly I was really interested on the postnatal maternity therapy (although I said just kidding there) and somehow on the next day thePinkStilettos kindheartedly decided to give that voucher as a giveaway to 2 lucky winners by telling her why we deserve to be pampered.

As you may aware, last month was a tough month for me and I kept on receiving bad / sad news, one after another. I really wish on getting at least one good news no matter how big or small just to cheer me up, so I tried my luck and left her an honest reason why I deserve to be pampered:

Dear Iza,
"I deserve to be pampered with the Postnatal Maternity Therapy because I will give birth to my first child in next 2 weeks through c-section due to placenta previa. Being a woman, getting back to pre-pregnancy weight and shape is among my concern and it's pretty challenging to achieve that especially after operation. Since the said therapy could be done within 2 months after giving birth which also means before I'm back to work, having it would definitely help me mentally (to destress myself) and physically (by any chance, it could help flattening my tummy Laughing). I wish to make a major 'comeback' at work and you will always be remembered for contributing to it.

By the way, past month was a devastating month for me because my beloved cat was stolen, followed by several other bad news and incidence. I really wish for a good news to make me happy and winning something would be a great gift for this preggy lady Smile ."

I was out from the Internet world the whole day yesterday and when I checked my inbox at 3 something early this morning I found an email that immediately brighten up my face. I am one of the 2 winners for the spa voucher giveaway... weehooo...!

As mentioned earlier, any good news will do to cheer me up and so I did. Thank you so much Iza @ thePinkStilletos. You gave good vibe to my day and coincidentally today is our wedding anniversary too. It is indeed a great combo gift for my pregnancy and also wedding anniversary... Alhamdulillah, murah rezeki and may one good news leads to another, insyaallah.

Couldn't wait to enjoy the therapy in next 2 months. To my skinny jeans, fitted working shirts, favourite high heels... " I'll be back! "

:: hypptv turns one ::

"Happy Birthday to you... Happy Birthday to you... Happy Birthday to HyppTV... Happy Birthday to you..."

HyppTV - Malaysia's latest pay TV service has turned one year old!
In case you didn't know much about HyppTV, here's a brief on what it is all about and what makes HyppTV more special than others:
  • HyppTV is delivered digitally via TM high speed broadband, UniFi no matter rain or shine to your television.
  • Offers variety of channels either for entertainment or education for both adults and kids, which include latest movies, tv series, documentaries, news, cartoons and many more.
  • 3 types of channels:
    • Video on Demand - say goodbye to fixed program schedule and watch your favourite movies, news or tv series at your own time convenience. Choose from Home Cinema: Hollywood, Kids Favourite, Hollywood Premier Series and a lot more.
    • Live TV - watch the usual local broadcast channels (TV1, TV2, TV3, etc.) and various international channels (BBC Lifestyle, Fashion TV, STAR Chinese Channel, FOX Crime HD, Travel Channel, etc.) *For Man Utd diehard fans, they also have MUTV running live for you to watch ;-)

Learn more about HyppTVand its contents through this link: http://www.unifi.my/hypptv/
or follow the Hypp World Facebook page.

*****

On another note, in conjunction with its first birthday, HyppTV will be throwing an exclusive blogger's party on Friday, 6 May 2011 at Neo Tamarind, Jalan Sultan Ismail and through Nuffnang, they are giving away 30 pair of invites for the most creative blog entries.

I'm very interested to join the celebration especially after knowing about the dress code, which is to dress up as your favourite Hollywood character. I love dressing up for events and I'm such a good sport so that should make me deserve a pair of ticket :-D

To accentuate this, here's a photo of myself as Mister Potato during Mister Potato Contest which I was the grand prize winner:

OMG! Was that really me? :-D
Other reasons why I deserve to be invited:
  • In spite of being able to learn more about what HyppTV is and spread the news about its benefits to others, I would love to attend the event so I could meet all the lucky bloggers out there. The event would be a great platform to mingle around and know each other as in real life rather than virtually.
  • I'm looking forward to loosen up and enjoy myself in a celebration after working 24/7 since past few weeks. HyppTV birthday bash would be a great stress reliever!
Since I'm currently pregnant like the pretty Natalie Portman, I would be her as Queen Amidala in the Star Wars trilogy.

 the white faced Amidala

I actually like Anakin Skywalker's strong character so it would be great if I could be his Queen Amidala for a day. Star Wars is one of my hubby's all-time favourite movie too and if I got invited, I will definitely attend the event with him. Better yet, we will both come as the couple; me as Amidala and hubby as Anakin. Ahhh, I've started imagining ourselves in one of these costumes already...

in space suit

sweet but too sexy for my huge belly

lovin' the light sabers!

finally, amidala in a scarf!

........what do you guys think? ;-)
